Welcome to our mountain home. Yes, this is our home and not just a rental. You will not find shag carpet or a deer head over the fireplace.  We have updated our condo to modern standards for your pleasure.  This very comfortable, modern, rustic condo has  2 bedrooms, a loft and 3 baths in the heart of Old town Mammoth. A perfect summer/winter spot for families and friends.

Helpful hints for the condo:

Where to put your gear- Please leave ski gear on upstairs deck.  There are ski and board storage racks for your convenience.  Please do to wear ski boots inside the house.  There is a bench outside the master bedroom so you can take them off easily before coming inside.

Laundry-The laundry room is on the back side of the pool.  It is open from 7-10.  Quarters are available at Vons or sometimes I run to Grumpy’ s and use the quarter machine there.

Hot/Tubs Pool– Pool and spa is open 10 to 10.  The code is 143.   There is also a dry sauna inside the by the Jacuzzi’s.  Pool towels and located in upstairs bathroom.

Fireplace/Stove– Best way to keep the place warm.  Start the fire in the morning and keep it stoked when home.  There is plenty of wood on the balconies.  It is a good idea to bring in wood overnight to let it dry.  Place a fire starter and a couple logs with then ends facing you (to avoid them rolling into the glass or on the floor). Lighters and supplies are in the basket to the left of the fireplace.  Once started, close the glass door.  The knob on the left should be pulled out.  Push in the slow or stop fire need be. Caution, stove handle can get hot.  Use bear claw oven mitts.  If very windy you may want to just use the heater to avoid smoke.

Hot ashes: Let ashes complete cool overnight in stove before placing them in ash bucket.  This will reduce the risk if fire and keep the condo from getting smoky.

Pots/ Pans: Pots and pans are to the left of the stove and lids are in the drawer below the stove.

Heater upstairs: The wall heater in the living room is on a thermostat.  Adjust the temp as needed (stove is best way to heat the upstairs).  Please allow 1-2 minutes for the heater to adjust and or turn/on/off.  There is no heater in the loft, as it is the warmest place in the house.  If you need more heat, there is a portable heater in the hall closet down stairs.  Please turn low if you will be gone all day.

Bedroom heaters: The wall heater in the bedrooms are on a thermostat. The beds downstairs have heating blankets and this is the best way to stay warm at night.  (Especially if you are sensitive to dry air.)  If your mattress is too firm, turn on the heated blanket to soften before hopping into bed. Please turn low or off if you will be gone all day.

Heated Floors in the bathrooms: There are heated floors in the downstairs bathrooms.  You may use the timer or turn them on manually.  They are awesome.

Climbing wall: Experienced climbers only.  You are responsible for anyone who uses the climbing wall during your stay, regardless if they are staying at the condo or not.   Please do not free climb, stand on furniture or climb over loft.

TVs:

  • Livingroom TV- Full cable, DVR and Amazon fire. Showtime Anytime ToGo Netflix etc  are activated by using Amazon Fire box (small remote) or by downloading the app to your phone.
  • Bedroom 1- Full cable, DVR and Amazon fire. Showtime Anytime Netflix etc are activated by using Amazon Fire box (small remote) or by downloading the app to your phone.
  • Bedroom 2- Full cable and Amazon fire. Showtime Anytime, Netflix etc are activated by using Amazon Fire box (small remote)or by downloading the app to your phone.
  • Loft TV- BlueRay and Smart TV.

Trash- There are several dumpsters in the parking lot.  There is a carabiner on each dumpster to keep bears out.  Please lock after you have dumped your trash.

Where to park:  We are located in the center of the complex by the pool.  Anywhere is a good spot.  You do not need a pass.

BBQ on deck:There is small gas BBQ on the living room deck.  There are extra propane tanks in the kitchen pantry.  There are also community BBQs by the pool.

Sleds and snow shovel:  We leave a shovel on the back deck in the master bedroom.  Please beware the deck and stairs get slippery.  There are 3 sleds in the upstairs closets for your use.

Pets Policy: We accept pets upon request.

Drinking water: Mammoth has the best water, you can drink tap water.
